Here is the neck of the violin:

First, the neck block is marked out and then band-sawed to the profile, essentially net:
The peg box is then drilled (to protect the thickness of the bottom of the box) and hollowed with gouge and chisel:
The peg box and the start of the scroll:
Then the second turn of the scroll:
Here's the head almost complete (a little fuzzy, sorry):
