Building a Violin - The Ribs

 

This page shows building the ribs for the violin.

 


 

 

The end and point blocks are glued to the mold C-ribs glued in.  Violins have separate ribs for the upper, lower, and C bouts Gluing in the upper and lower bout ribs

Ribs are complete after final carving of the blocks
