June 2006:  Phyllis got me a new digital SLR (Pentax *ist views:  front,  back,  top, 18-55mm zoom lens

(35mm equivalent 28-83mm), 50-200mm zoom lens (35mm equivalent 75-300mm -

great for portraits) (I want the 14mm (21 mm equivalent) eventually, maybe next year ...) for Father's Day.

I love it.  You can tell I've been going wild with it:

Hike to Avalanche Lake (a not-to-be-missed hike!).  Jamie hiked all the way

in (2.3 miles and 600 feet up).  Great views for minimal effort.
